Stop Learning About Writing.
Start Writing.
Escape the loop of eternal learning and editing and finish that book. The world doesn’t need perfect, it needs your story.

The Research Trap
You’re not “preparing” to write. You’re hiding in research, classes, and conferences. You’re not a writer. You’re a professional procrastinator.

Chapter One Loop
On your 10th editing pass of Chapter One? You’re not making the book better, you’re ensuring you’ll never finish it. Perfectionism is just a fear of success.

Someday Syndrome
Waiting for your muse or for the right moment to write is a deadend road. It will never be the right timed. Professional writers don’t have more time, they write through the mess.
The Solution

The Radical Brain Dump
Goal: Shut up your inner critic.
You can’t edit a blank page, so let’s make that messy page happen.

The B-Minus Draft
Goal: Skip the Chapter One Loop.
Perfectionism is a trap. Drop the procrastination and remember, we choose done over perfect.

The Finish Line System
Goal: Finish that book and type “The End.”
No one will ever read your unfinished manuscript. Put the actual book into your readers’ hands.
It Took Me 10 Years to Write My First Book
Then I realized something . . .
For over two decades, I worked as a ghostwriter. I was on deadlines and wrote hundreds of books in those 20+ years.
So, why did it take me 10 years to write my own novel?

Because I was caught up in learning the best way to write, listening to other people, and editing before I wrote any further. In short, perfectionism nearly stopped my book from ever being published.
Fast Forward to 2025
In 2025, I went fulltime as an author. I published 4 books and was able to successfully support my family. What changed?
I don’t live a perfect life. I don’t have a cook or a maid (though they’re on my wishlist). I live in a village on the side of a volcano in Guatemala with my husband, 3 sons, 4 cats, and 3 dogs. Life is chaotic and wonderful . . . and I can’t wait for the perfect time to write, because there isn’t one! It’s all about writing around the chaos.
Why I Created “Just Write It”
The Just Write It movement began because I’m so tired of seeing amazing writers paralyzed by perfectionism. It’s the same thing that nearly ended my career before it took off.
You are capable of writing the book. All you need to do is implement the Just Write It system, stop procrastinating and make it happen.
As Seen On

The world doesn’t need a perfect book. It needs YOUR book.
Don’t let another year go by with your story trapped behind procrastination.
